Spring 2011 is here, Portland and what better way to kick off Social Media Club PDX in 2011 than by bringing in the very first winery Social Media Director, Rick Bakas (@RickBakas) from the San Francisco Bay Area.
Join us at Hall of Records, March 21st, as Rick presents “Return On Attention”. Rick’s topic focuses on these questions:
What IS the ROI of anything, especially new media? What’s the ROI of a 2 over 2 direct mail piece? What’s the ROI of in-store POS? How about a magazine ad—what’s the return on running an ad?
The ROI question has got to be the number one question asked. “If I’m going to adopt new media, what is the return on investment?”

Author, Certified Sommelier and Brand Strategist, Rick Bakas is globally recognized as a thought leader in the world of wine and social media. As the first Director of Social Media in the wine industry, he influenced new ideas and new concepts that connect wineries to new consumers through tweetup tours and global online wine tastings. Rick specializes in translating personal and corporate brands to new media. He is an adviser at Bakas Media, a new media branding agency in San Francisco.
We’re extremely excited that Rick is able to join us before heading overseas on a speaking tour. This event is limited to the first 50 who register, due to venue space limitations.
